Plans are meant to be changed.

Well, I really never have big plans. Part of me does not want to make big plans and then have the reuined and not happen, so I there are times I just prefer not making plans at all.

This week, we thought of taking Brandon camping for the first time. We changed our minds on that - or I did- since he tends to trip over those invisible things all the time, I just couldn't see him walking through the woods and not landing head first into a campfire.

Next year. That would be a great idea. I do want to start him early. I love camping and we don't do it enough. I love wandering through the woods and I want him to love that as well. His daddy loves to hunt, fish, camp and is actually getting ready for another portaging-Canadian trip in a couple weeks. (btw - there is NO WAY you could get me to canoe for miles and then whip that canoe on top of my head and hike it over a couple big hills and back into another body of water to canoe a couple more hours until you can make camp. That is just not my cup of tea. I don't have to have total luxery, but I don't want to work that hard on vacation, either.

I want to set up my camp... Fish, canoe, play games, walk through the woods, catch bugs, go swimming, and come back to camp, make some food, roast some marshmellows and go to bed. I like waking up in the same spot I slept the night before. I don't want to have to pack my stuff up and move it to yet another location the next day. That's just way too much work. My husband disagrees. Which is fine. He can go to Canada and have fun with the boys. When Brandon is old enough, he will go portaging with his dad and I will have to go shopping or something. Bummer.

So, since there is no camping....I wanted to go to the zoo. It's close to Dale's mom and sister and they could get "brandon time". Tomorrow was the plan, but now thunderstorms are in store, so I am not certain what we will be doing. Just when I thought the rain drops were the biggest issue, Brandon had this rash all over his back and tummy. I am quite certain it's a viral rash, as I did some major googleresearch here. And, we all know how accurate that is. :)
