Rainy, Fall Day

I successfully made my first fire for the year.  Normally, I try about 4 times on the first attempt and have to keep going.   I am not sure why - maybe it is the same concept how people drive in snow for half of the year and then after summer, the first snow flies and they go straight into the ditch.

The fire is growing (in the fireplace, which is a good sign) and we soon should get the temps back up and over 63 degrees.    It is now time to take that homemade bread from the Amish family at the farmer's market and make some yummy french toast.  "Yum! Yum!", as B would say.
